These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LessonBase (the "Service"), operated by Robert Charles Ollech ("we", "us"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
LessonBase is a subscription tool for independent music teachers to manage students, scheduling, attendance, lesson notes, and payments. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, and for your own compliance with any laws that apply to your teaching business, including obligations to your students and their parents.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Parent and student portal access is granted by you, the teacher, and you are responsible for managing who has access.
You agree not to use the Service to store or transmit unlawful content, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems, or to use the Service in a way that could harm students, parents, or other users.
You retain ownership of the student, lesson, and payment data you enter. You grant us the right to store and process it solely to provide the Service to you. You are responsible for having any necessary rights or consents to enter information about your students and their parents.
You also grant us the right to create and use de-identified and aggregated data derived from use of the Service — data that does not identify you or any student, parent, or other individual — to operate, analyze, improve, and develop the Service. We do not sell your data or your students' personal information.
Program name: LessonBase Lesson Reminders. LessonBase can send text-message reminders to a parent or guardian about their own child's upcoming music lesson. The programme is optional, and a number is only ever messaged where the teacher has recorded that the parent agreed to receive texts.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies — typically one message per scheduled lesson, sent the day before.
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard rates apply to messages you receive. LessonBase does not charge for them.
To stop: reply STOP to any message and we will send no further texts to that number. For help: reply HELP, or email support@lessonbase.app.
Opting out of texts does not affect your account or your child's lessons. You will continue to receive lesson information by email and in the app. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or SMS consent records with third parties for marketing, and consent data is not shared with anyone other than our SMS delivery provider as needed to deliver the messages.

You can download a backup of your data at any time from Settings. If you close your account, we will delete your data within a reasonable period, subject to backup retention and legal requirements.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for disputes between you and your students or their parents.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or other users.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
